Happy to explain!
I juggle a full-time job with staying sharp in the UX community and finding inspiration outdoors with my dog. Let's connect on LinkedIn. I'm super happy to explain my impact on this project!
ID Wallet App Redesign
Referencing the real world
What the Wallet?
This is where we started. The business's challenge was, that B2B partners and our customers did not quickly understand what Verimi is about.
Our assumption was that therefore we could not excite either with our ID Wallet.
Goals
- π― Generate more strategic partners and investors
- π― Reach more users through additional use cases
The vision
- π± Showcase what Verimi does with something that people can relate to
- π± Resemble real world objects (ID cards, driver's license, ...) instead of digital attribute lists
- π± Create excitement and media attention
Where did I start?
- π‘ I interviewed our C-level and sales team on their experience with selling the Verimi Wallet
- π‘ Mapped different stakeholder ideas and priorities
- π‘ Conducted a competitive analysis of direct and indirect competition
- π‘ Created alignment on prioritizing the strategic growth goal
Solving problems on the way
- 𧩠My colleague and I went out to the streets and tested first ideas in Guerilla Tests
- 𧩠I mapped out User Journeys to analyze potential use cases
- 𧩠Through improvised recruiting over a social media ad, I fought to establish user research at Verimi
- 𧩠On several occasions we had to change up our concept, through the insights gained with user data and research
- 𧩠To get stakeholders on board with ideas, I used opportunity canvases
- 𧩠I iterated and iterated the Figma prototype, repeatedly validated ideas with tests and interviews along the way
- 𧩠I use research findings to inform ICE scores for new features
Incredible Outcomes
- π We received widespread media coverage with the release of the redesign
- π Our user numbers more than doubled after the release of the Wallet redesign
- π App Store ratings went up from 3.1 to 4.3
- π Interviewees continue to describe accurately what Verimi is about, just by taking a 5 second look at the Wallet
- π Verimi merged with yes.com and and saw its largest investments in 2022
- π The research allowed me to create validated user personas for Verimi
- π Best of all we now have even more exciting ideas to develop the Wallet further
